It was an emotional morning watching the casket of a soldier return home to his family. I think many of us were a little teary-eyed when leaving the airport.

Over 15,000 people were expected at the BiLo Center for the tenth anniversary of a local church. I hadn't shot a church service this massive - it was more like a concert. These are some of the photos.

Volunteers from Habitat for Humanity play Bingo with residents of a local assisted living center on Monday. I thought it was pretty funny that for two days in a row, I am sent to assisted living centers. The assignments turned out to be kind of fun.  Read More

A local volunteer organization, Hands on Greenville, treated residents of an assisted living center to an afternoon with puppies from the Greenville Humane Society on Sunday. The dogs were adorable and it was great to see the reactions of the residents. Read More

This week temperatures dropped extremely low here in South Carolina. I was interested in finding out what people in our community who don't have heat and/or shelter do in the colder weather. I found that one of our local ministry shelters opens their gym when temps reach below 40 degrees. So, I pitched the story and then went to hang out there one evening. I was sent out the get pictures of a demolition crew tearing down the old Woolworth's building. I got some neat shots from down on the ground and I decided to shoot down on the building from a nearby parking garage. After getting the shots I needed, I saw this sign. I just had to shoot it because I liked how the garage was a little sketchy and the hand-painted sign just added to the ambiance. Read More

It was heartbreaking on Christmas day to see all the people lined up for hot meal at the Greer Soup Kitchen. On the other hand, it was great to see all the volunteers at the Greer Soup Kitchen. I shot this picture just before they opened the doors to the public and volunteers grabbed hands and prayed in the kitchen. Read More

There was a lot of action last night at the Carolina First Center as the Goodfellows, a local service organization founded by American Legion members, packed food boxes for needy families with the help of volunteers, such as the Boy Scouts. Read More
