About
I grew up on Chicago’s North Shore where I began taking an interest in photography at New Trier High School. During that time, I enrolled in my first photography class and worked for the student newspaper, as well as the yearbook. Wanting to pursue a career in the media, I attended the University of Missouri School of Journalism. There, I joined the staff of two student newspapers and worked two semesters for the daily Columbia Missourian.
After graduating with a Bachelors of Journalism in 2002, I made the move to Florence, S.C. Media General’s Morning News offered me a full-time position after completing a four-month internship with the newspaper.
Three and a half years later, in March 2006, I joined the staff of Gannett’s The Greenville News in Greenville, S.C. In my current position, I cover general news, spot news, sports and features.
